In 2008 Rolex introduced the Day-Date II that derived its prestigious design heritage from previous Day Dates timepieces but advanced the movement and increased the size of the case. This version of the Day-Date II 218239 comes with a brilliant, white gold case that is 41mm in diameter with a solid case back, sapphire crystal, screw-down crown and a fluted white gold bezel. The dial is an icy looking silver-tone with roman numeral hour markers, white gold hands, a date, and a day window. The 218239 is powered by the self-winding 3156 caliber which has day/date functionality, is chronometer-certified and a power reserve of 48 hours. The case is paired with a white gold three-piece-link Presidential bracelet with a fold-over clasp. It has a water resistance of 100 meters (330 Feet).
